Data Science and Artificial Intelligence

It is my pleasure to welcome you to the Department of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence at Prince Hussein bin Abdullah College of Information Technology – Al al-Bayt University. This is one of the newly established departments to keep pace with the rapid developments in the fields of digital transformation, artificial intelligence, and data analytics, which have become fundamental pillars in various scientific and practical sectors.

The department offers a Bachelor’s degree in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence starting from the second semester of the academic year 2022/2023. The program is designed in accordance with global academic standards and the needs of the local and regional labor markets. It aims to equip students with a solid knowledge foundation and advanced practical skills in data analytics, machine learning, applied AI, natural language processing, and computer vision, enabling them to contribute to finding innovative solutions to societal and technological challenges.

The department pays special attention to the applied and research aspects, providing modern laboratories equipped with the latest software and technical tools. We also encourage faculty members and students to engage in advanced research activities that enrich scientific knowledge and enhance the university's position in this vital field. Furthermore, the department is keen on building effective partnerships with higher education institutions, research centers, and industrial sectors to support the educational process and develop training and consulting programs that serve the community and contribute to national development goals.
