The Department of Economics of Finance and Business is considered a leading scientific department in preparing qualified cadres in the field of economic sciences, both theoretically and practically. It provides students with the scientific abilities and practical skills necessary to face professional challenges and respond to the requirements of potential developments in various economic fields.
In addition to the Bachelor's program, the department offers two Master's programs: one in Economics of Finance and Business, and the other in Economics and International Cooperation. It also offers several compulsory courses taught in other related specializations.
The department conducts various scientific activities and organizes specialized events on contemporary economic issues of national dimension, in which lecturers from inside and outside the university participate, with the aim of contributing to finding ways to meet economic challenges and providing recommendations on crises at the local and international levels.
The Department of Economics of Finance and Business, with its distinguished staff, seeks to be a beacon for the dissemination of science and economic knowledge at the local, Arab, and regional levels. It supplies the local and external markets with qualified and trained scientific competencies capable of employing their scientific abilities and potential in line with modern requirements.
The global financial services industry has created a strong demand for economists with knowledge of financial systems and markets by combining economics, finance, and management. Therefore, Al al-Bayt University students in this department receive a diverse package of knowledge and economic, financial, and administrative sciences, enabling them to rely on methodological foundations of thinking to understand economic, administrative, and financial variables. This qualifies them for success and excellence in the finance and business sector, and makes them capable of providing economic consultations, preparing feasibility studies for investment projects and scientific research, and offering everything that would serve and develop the local community.
