Nel 2022 il Dipartimento d'Italiano è diventato uno dei dipartimenti della Facoltà di Lingue. Il Dipartimento offre una laurea quadriennale nell'ambito del Corso di Laurea in Italiano e Inglese. Questo Corso di Laurea fu istituito nel 2012 ed è stato fin da allora parte dell'offerta formativa del Dipartimento di Lingue Moderne, a sua volta parte della Facoltà di Lettere fino al 2022.
Lo staff accademico del Dipartimento d'Italiano comprende docenti di varia formazione universitaria tra i quali contano docenti di madrelingua italiana. Il Dipartimento ha attivato un rapporto con il Ministero degli Affari Esteri della Repubblica Italiana per il ricevimento di lettori madrelingua che in Italia sono docenti di ruolo.
Ogni anno il Dipartimento d'Italiano accoglie da 80 a 100 studenti che si iscrivono al Corso di Laurea in Italiano e Inglese.
Welcome to the Department of Italian Language,
The Department of Italian Language has always been and remains one of the most dynamic and committed departments at Al al-Bayt University. The department dedicates its efforts to establishing a comprehensive relationship between teaching and research, extending beyond to matters that concern the university environment and the local community. The programs offered by the department revolve around their global significance, manifested in their ability to adapt and align with the variables of their cognitive and academic fields, reflecting the developments and progress in Italian language studies itself as well as advancing the mission of Al al-Bayt University.
Literature, linguistics, and translation are taught in the curriculum in both Italian and English languages. Our distinguished teaching staff diligently works on developing and improving our students' communication skills. The department ensures that students in the bachelor's program enhance their motivation and hone their critical thinking abilities when studying literary and linguistic works to understand how these works influenced and were influenced by their cultural and civilizational contexts.
Specifically, students in our department learn how to analyze complex and profound texts, and they are trained to express their understanding of those texts with confidence and competence. They also write detailed essays in a persuasive and effective argumentative style, enhancing their ability to reach conclusions and insights regarding the works they have studied with evidence, proof, and sound logic.
