Bayt Al-Hikma Institute for Political Science and International Studies was established alongside the founding of Al al-Bayt University in 1994. The Institute was created to integrate the academic dimension—offering a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science—with research activities and cultural engagement, including the organization of seminars and conferences related to national, regional, and international issues.

In 2021, approval was granted to change the name to the Faculty of Bayt Al-Hikma for Political Science and International Studies. The Faculty also emphasizes supporting young researchers in political science through annual conferences and various academic publications.

Currently, the Faculty employs (8) faculty members (7 full Professors and 1 Associate Professor). The Faculty expects an increase in student enrollment and an expansion of its Master’s program. Furthermore, the Faculty Council is preparing a study to open new specializations at the Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctoral levels to align with local, regional, and global labor market needs.
