About the Program
M.A. in History The Master of Arts in History at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities is designed to develop researchers proficient in historical criticism and analytical tools. Moving beyond mere storytelling, the program focuses on understanding the deep political and social contexts of past events. It is built upon three core pillars: Methodology, which ensures mastery of scientific research methods and critical thinking; Specialization, through in-depth study of specific eras—Ancient, Islamic, Medieval, or Modern and Contemporary History; and Academic Research, culminating in a scholarly thesis that offers new analytical insights or unprecedented historical discoveries by engaging directly with primary sources, documents, and manuscripts.
