Blue Economy and Environmental Sustainability

ماجستير

About the Program
The Master’s Program in Blue Economy and Environmental Sustainability is designed to equip students with the skills and knowledge necessary to address the growing global challenges of marine resource management and sustainable development. The program focuses on the application of GIS and remote sensing in marine and coastal environments, alongside Marine Spatial Planning (ICZM) to balance environmental conservation with economic activities. Courses cover critical areas such as oceanography, climate change, and the blue economy through innovation, entrepreneurship, and sustainable practices in fisheries, aquaculture, and coastal tourism. Students will gain a comprehensive understanding of marine ecology, maritime law, ocean governance, and Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), as well as specialized skills in marine spatial analysis, seafloor mapping, and water management. Practical methodologies, including marine instruments and research techniques, further enrich their learning, fostering expertise in sustainable marine resource use.
