About the Program
The Renewable Energy Engineering Department at Al al-Bayt University is part of the Faculty of Engineering and offers a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Renewable Energy Engineering. It was established at the start of the 2013/2014 academic year in response to the growing importance of sustainable energy solutions and the national need for specialists in renewable energy technologies. The program is designed to prepare students with the scientific and technical knowledge necessary to understand, design, and manage systems based on renewable sources such as solar, wind, and other sustainable energy technologies. The department emphasizes a balance of theoretical foundations and practical skills, covering areas like energy conversion, power systems, energy efficiency, and sustainable design. It reflects both educational excellence and alignment with Jordan’s energy sector priorities, where renewable energy is key to future economic and environmental sustainability. Students benefit from a comprehensive curriculum that meets academic standards for engineering education, ensuring graduates are capable of entering the workforce as competent engineers or pursuing advanced studies.
