Dean's Word

We welcome you to the official webpage of the Faculty of Law, which has been developed to introduce the Faculty, its mission, objectives, academic programs, and strategic plans, as well as its academic departments, academic and administrative staff, and its scientific and student activities. It also aims to strengthen communication channels with the academic community locally, regionally, and internationally.

The Faculty of Law was established in the academic year 2010/2011, following the development of the Department of Legal Studies. It was established pursuant to the decision of the Council of Higher Education No. (47) dated 1/4/2010. The Faculty seeks, in integration with other faculties, to translate the University’s philosophy, vision, and objectives in teaching, scientific research, and community service.

The Faculty consists of the Department of Public Law and the Department of Private Law. It offers the Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) program, partners in offering the Accounting and Business Law program, and offers a Master’s Program in Law. Recently, it introduced the Master’s Program in Arbitration in Construction Contracts to keep pace with scientific developments and labor market needs.

Since its establishment, the Faculty of Law has been keen to actively participate in extracurricular activities, particularly moot court competitions and legal debates organized by Jordanian universities and international organizations. This helps refine students' practical skills and enhance their professional capabilities. The Faculty also supports scientific and research cooperation by holding continuous conferences and seminars, such as the Third International Conference titled "Artificial Intelligence: A Legal Vision Towards a Sustainable Future" held in May 2025.

Teaching at the Faculty is undertaken by a distinguished group of academic staff members representing various legal schools of thought.

About the College

The Faculty of Law was established in the academic year 2010/2011, following the development of the Department of Legal Studies within the Faculty of Jurisprudential and Legal Studies. The establishment of the Faculty of Law was effected pursuant to the decision of the Council of Higher Education No. (47) dated 1/4/2010, thereby joining the University’s other faculties to contribute—alongside them—to translating the University’s philosophy, vision, and objectives in teaching, research, and community service. It also plays an active role in developing the legal system of the university and the legislative system of the state.

The Faculty consists of two academic departments: the Department of Public Law and the Department of Private Law.

It offers the Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) program and partners with the Faculty of Business to offer the Accounting and Business Law program. Furthermore, it offers a Master’s Program in Law (Thesis and Comprehensive tracks).

Recently, the Master’s Program in Arbitration in Construction Contracts was established for students holding a Bachelor’s degree in Law, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Civil and Architectural Engineering for the first time, pursuant to the Board of Trustees decision No. (23/2024/2025) dated 13/2/2025. The program received specific accreditation from the Accreditation and Quality Assurance Commission under decision No. (514/16/2025) dated 17/8/2025.

The Faculty aspires to expand its specialized programs to meet labor market needs and achieve national goals and strategies in higher education.
