About the Program
The Department of Chemistry offers a research-based Master's degree (thesis track and comprehensive track) in various major specializations (organic, inorganic, physical, and analytical).
The department meets the needs of local industries, particularly the pharmaceutical industry, by providing chemists, and many graduates have the ability to teach chemistry in schools at various levels.

Mission
Preparing a generation of well-trained and qualified young scientific cadres to meet the labor market's needs for competent personnel, working on graduating a generation of scientific youth and researchers, contributing to solving scientific and industrial problems facing development plans in Jordan, and providing technical services and scientific advice to both the public and private sectors.

Learning Outcomes
- To understand the standard chemistry core courses
- To demonstrate knowledge of the appropriate theoretical, computational, and/or experimental skills required to solve problems in their area of specialization
- To apply the proper analytical, computational, and experimental methods to evaluate and test the concept or hypothesis under investigation
- To solve multidisciplinary problems by integrating chemistry with advanced sub-disciplines and related fields
- To develop professional reports and deliver oral presentations to varied audiences
- To propose a research project either individually or as part of a team
- To support diverse, interdisciplinary teams in achieving a common goal
