On the eighteenth of Safar in the year 1413 AH, corresponding to August 17, 1992 AD, the Royal Decree was issued establishing Al al-Bayt University. The establishment of the Supplies Department coincided with the early beginnings of the university. The Supplies Department is considered one of the essential pillars of the university, as it bears the responsibility of providing all the requirements needed by the university, with its various colleges and centers, including equipment, consumables, spare parts, and maintenance contracts, in accordance with the powers entrusted to it up to a ceiling of five thousand dinars. This is done by contacting supply sources inside or outside the Kingdom to secure the best prices, terms, and quality. In addition, it undertakes the tasks of receiving supplies, inspecting, registering, coding, storing, and coordinating them within its warehouses, as well as insuring, maintaining, inventorying, supervising, dispensing them, and monitoring the commodity stock and its validity, alongside clearing external imports. The department also handles insuring the university’s properties and assets and takes the necessary measures to maintain and insure them, including devices, equipment, and machinery, through maintenance contracts and agreements concluded with specialized companies and institutions. Furthermore, the department plays a major role in serving the local community by presenting gifts such as equipment, furniture, computers, and stationery to associations, schools, and cultural and educational centers, as a gesture of support from the university in line with applicable laws and regulations. |

This Department is considered one of the main pillars of the university, as it is responsible for providing the university with supplies such as devices, consumables, spare parts and maintenance contracts, in accordance with the powers entrusted to it, at a maximum of five thousand dinars. That is through contacting the sources of importing these supplies inside or outside the Kingdom at the best prices, conditions and quality. In addition, the department takes over the tasks of receiving, inspecting, recording, coding, storing, coordinating in warehouses, insuring, maintaining, inventorying, supervising and disbursing the supplies, monitors the commodity stock and its validity, and clears foreign imports. It also insures and maintains the university's property and assets, including devices, equipment, and machines, through maintenance contracts and agreements concluded with specialized companies and institutions. The department plays a major role in serving the local community by providing donations to associations, schools, cultural and educational centers. Such donations are equipment, furniture, computers, stationery and others in support of the university for these associations and centers in line with applicable laws and regulations.

The Supplies Department, through tools, modern technology and wise management, seeks to make its performance distinct and disciplined. It, further, seeks to provide all the university’s faculties, units and departments with their different needs. This is based on quality, speed in the completion of work, high professionalism and the development of its systems as needed, to support the role of the university in fulfilling its mission.

2. استلام وفحص وترميز المواد وتخزينها في المستودعات المعدة لها وبما يضمن تخزينها بطريقة سليمة والمحافظة عليها من ايه عوامل قد تؤثر على وجودها وكذلك اجراء عمليات الجرد الدورية للتأكد من تطابق ارصدتها مع السجلات والمستندات اضافة الى توزيع الاحتياجات من الاثاث والقرطاسية على الكليات والوحدات والمراكز والدوائر في الجامعة حسب الحاجة وعند الطلب
3. تصنيف اللوازم والمستودعات الخاصة بها وفق الاساليب الحديثة في دائرة اللوازم
4. خدمة المجتمع المحلي بتقديم الاهداءات للجمعيات والمدارس والمراكز الثقافية من الاجهزة والاثاث والقرطاسية وغيرها دعماً من الجامعة للمجتمع المحلي
