The department consists of Bachelor's and Master's programs in Political Science, offering theoretical and applied knowledge in the fields and branches of political science as defined by the UNESCO conference in 1948. These include: political thought, political theory, government, public opinion, and international relations.
The specialization of political science is one of the social and human sciences that deals with the interpretation of political phenomena within various political systems or the international system. This contributes to rationalizing political decision-making, achieving sustainable political development, and encouraging positive citizen participation. It also enhances their awareness of democracy, their rights and duties, and the decision-making process nationally and internationally through a systematic scientific process that leads to practical application.

To produce graduates capable of scientific research and analysis, and skilled work in formal and voluntary civil institutions, in practical application.
