About the Program
We welcome you to the Occupational Therapy Program, established alongside the founding of the College in 2024. The program offers a Bachelor’s degree comprising 138 credit hours, including practical and clinical training, and leads to a Bachelor’s degree accredited by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
The Occupational Therapy program aims to prepare highly qualified graduates with advanced scientific and professional competencies, equipped with specialized theoretical knowledge and advanced clinical skills required to assess, diagnose, and implement therapeutic interventions for functional and movement-related disorders, in accordance with sound scientific principles and evidence-based professional practice. The program is founded on developing an advanced knowledge base in the core medical sciences, including anatomy, physiology, neuroscience, and kinesiology, in addition to structured clinical training that ensures the integration of theoretical and practical components.
The program further encompasses the study and application of occupational therapy domains and intervention approaches across diverse age groups and health conditions, including services for children with learning difficulties, individuals with neurological and physical impairments, and older adults. These interventions aim to restore functional performance, promote independence, enhance participation in daily activities, and improve overall quality of life.
Graduates of the program have diverse career opportunities in hospitals, specialized clinics, rehabilitation centers, special education schools, community-based institutions, mental health facilities, and elderly care homes. In addition, graduates may pursue academic and research careers in universities and departments of rehabilitation sciences.
