Welcome to the realm of creativity, excellence, and leadership. It is my pleasure to welcome you, both personally and on behalf of the entire Cultural, Social, and Artistic Activities Department at the Deanship of Student Affairs at Al al-Bayt University. We in this department believe that the university is not merely a place for lectures and academic achievement, but rather a comprehensive environment for human development, character building, intellectual growth, and the instilling of human, national, and emotional values in our dear students, so that they may become the leaders of tomorrow and the builders of the future. The department strives, through diligent and continuous work, to develop its extracurricular programs to meet your aspirations. We are here to discover your talents, support your creativity, and open horizons of excellence for you in various fields, whether in intellectual and leadership roles through the Student Council and seminars, or in the worlds of art and creativity such as calligraphy, drawing, music, poetry, theater, and the university's folklore and music groups, which the university is proud to showcase at all its events. We also aim to enhance your media skills through your bi-monthly newspaper, "Al-Shura." My dear students, I invite you all to join us on this journey. You are the heart of the educational process, and with you and through you, we elevate the cultural, social, and artistic activities at our beloved Al al-Bayt University. Our doors are always open to your ideas, initiatives, and creative endeavors. May God grant us all success in serving our university and our dear homeland. |

The Deanship of Student Affairs at Al al-Bayt University strives to support student creativity and develop artistic and media talents through dedicated departments that provide a stimulating environment for innovation and learning.
The University Studio (A Beacon of Fine Arts): Established in 1994, the studio serves as an incubator for artistic talents. It is supervised by a specialized artistic staff with extensive experience in drawing and handicrafts.
Services and Activities: The studio offers comprehensive training courses in drawing and provides students with all necessary art materials and supplies free of charge at the beginning of each academic year.
Courses in Arabic Calligraphy and Ornamentation: The studio teaches this authentic art form, and one of its most notable achievements is the decoration of the Bilal bin Rabah Mosque on campus with Quranic verses and creative texts.
Participation and Exhibitions: The studio organizes an annual "Student Creations Exhibition" to showcase student work, in addition to actively participating in national competitions and artistic activities among Jordanian universities.
The Music Activity Department: Established in 1994, the department aligns with the university's goals of nurturing and developing musical and folkloric inclinations among students. Artistic Groups: The choir receives comprehensive support, including state-of-the-art musical instruments, costumes for performances, and a dedicated, fully equipped hall for daily rehearsals. The department always welcomes new talent.
Ceramics Department: The ceramics department, part of the Cultural and Social Activities section, is a hub for artistic creation, where students translate their ideas into distinctive ceramic masterpieces, murals, and sculptures.
Facilities and Production: The department boasts comprehensive facilities, including kilns, a color laboratory, a production studio, a drying hall, and a dedicated exhibition space for finished works.
Artistic Excellence: The department is unique in its chemical preparation of ceramic pigments within its laboratories, eliminating the need for pre-made pigments.
Students are involved in every stage of the process themselves, from kneading and shaping the clay to firing it in kilns at temperatures exceeding 1000 degrees Celsius, culminating in the final coloring.
Term Exhibitions: The students' efforts are crowned with a specialized ceramics exhibition at the end of each semester, showcasing their artistic creations. Al-Shura Newspaper: Embodying the values of freedom of opinion and expression, the Deanship of Student Affairs publishes "Al-Shura," a monthly student newspaper dedicated to media and journalistic work. Content and Coverage: The newspaper's content is prepared and produced by students under the supervision of distinguished media professionals. It focuses on covering national, cultural, social, and sporting activities within the university, in addition to connecting the university with the local community by covering events in Mafraq Governorate and the Kingdom in general.
Training and Development: The newspaper's office holds regular media training courses to integrate students into field journalism and refine their skills, with a continuous effort to develop the newspaper and publish a modern electronic version.
